Textbook Spyder was created in December 2010. We were getting ready for yet another college semester, which meant it was time to buy another round of expensive textbooks. We knew there were websites out there that could get us better deals than the campus bookstore, but it was a time consuming task to compare all of them to find the best deals.
The light bulb turned on, and we thought "what if we created a website that would compare all of the textbook prices from our favorite online vendors in one place?" Textbook Spyder was formed.
We now help students across the country find great deals on college textbooks every semester, making sure they get deep discounts, and keep a heavier wallet. Our textbook search engine scans over 40 vendors online, comparing the absolute cheapest in new, used, rental, and international textbooks.
We've even added a buyback search, so that at the end of the semester, you can sell your books to the higher bidder. The campus bookstore no longer has a monopoly on your textbooks!
